Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo who is a frequent caller at the Holy Trust Field in Gwarimpa Estate, says he has a lot of history with the pitch. He
said he had been playing on the pitch before going for the Under-17 trials and finds it necessary to train there anytime he is in the country.
In an interview with www.scorenigeria.com.ng, he said part of the history included playing a friendly match against the Nigeria’s Under-20 team which was instrumental to his being scouted to play in the Under-17 team. “My brothers train here, I also have friends here, there are also a lot of talents here too, that’s why I am always here to train and encourage the boys.”
The rock solid defender also spoke on the increased offer Leganes has made his parent club Chelsea for his services. “It is a team I want to play in, especially because the manager trusts me so much and has given me a lot of opportunities. I am happy they are making an effort by increasing their offer.”
“I just hope Chelsea works with them to make the deal happen”. He concluded.
